I’m starting to come around on Red Tails. I haven’t been impressed by what we’ve seen so far, but this trailer makes it look like a fairly thrilling tale. There’s not nearly enough World War 2 fighter pilot movies, especially not in the past ten years. The last one I can think of is maybe Memphis Belle? I watched an edited version of that in high school, and I don’t remember liking it. Red Tails looks like a sports movie, but the sports team is a bunch of fighter pilots, and I mean that in the good, inspirational way. It looks awesome, is what I’m saying.
