By This trailer is for Gus Van Sant’s newest movie: Restless. It’s the story of a terminally ill girl and a boy who’s best friend is a Japanese ghost who meet and presumably fall in love. Van Sant’s earlier works include Milk and Good Will Hunting and like these, Restless appears to be quirky and sad.
Ron Howard is attached to produce the movie, too. So hopefully it will end up being something a little more original than boy-meets-girl, girl-is-sick, and sad-but-heartfelt.
