By Now this sounds interesting. Retreat tells the story of a couple (Cillian Murphy and Thanadie Newton) that go to a small cabin on an isolated island for a vacation, and possibly to heal their struggling marriage. As these things go, a bloody, gun-wielding man (Jamie Bell) shows up proclaiming that a plague has wiped out the population. I really like how the trailer suggests not just that the plague might not be real, but it also suggests that, even if the plague IS real, that this dude is just as dangerous and crazy.
There’s a lot of talent in Retreat, so this is one to keep an eye on.
