Trailer: Return

When I watch the trailer for Return, I can’t help but imagine that it’s a sequel of sorts to Freaks & Geeks. I can’t help but think that Linda Cardellini is reprising her role as Lindsey Weir and that Lindsey’s life really got messed up along the way after she enlisted in the military. I also like to imagine that Michael Shannon is really Daniel Desario and somehow those two ended up together.

But alas, Return is really about a female soldier who experiences shell shock as she tries to acclimate back into family/civilian life. It all sounds really poignant and all, but for my sake I’ll continue to lie to myself. Return will see a theatrical release on February 10th, 2012 and a VOD release on February 28th.
