By My first response to watching this new trailer for Rise of the Planet of the Apes: “Is that Draco Malfoy?!” Yes, Tom Felton has a role in the new Apes film. Hoorah! Doesn’t he look a bit like Devon Sawa? The newest trailer, following the extended trailer from earlier this month, is a lot shorter than its predecessor, but does illustrate more emotion from the ape. I assume they’re trying to show the antagonists to have more depth than “You made us, you mistreated us, we hate all humans. Gragh!”
Anyways, this film is looking better and better every time I see it. I’ve honestly never seen a Planet of the Apes film, so this might be the one that hooks me in. It doesn’t hurt that James Franco and Tom Felton are in it, either. Let’s see what kind of chops Felton can show us post-Harry Potter.
