Safety Not Guaranteed was one of my favorite films at SXSW and now you guys get to see a glimpse of why I felt so strongly about it with this recently-released trailer for the film. For those who haven’t heard anything about it, Safety Not Guaranteed is inspired by a real newspaper ad asking for a companion to accompany the ad’s writer back in time. The film expands on this by incorporating a magazine reporter, Jeff (Jake M. Johnson), and two interns (Aubrey Plaza and Karan Soni) to interview the ad’s writer, Kenneth (Mark Duplass).
Safety Not Guaranteed will be in theaters June 8th. Of course, you could read my review, as well as the multitude of roundtable interviews I had with the film’s writer and director, Jake M. Johnson and Karan Soni, and Aubrey Plaza and Mark Duplass.
