Trailer: Stoker

0

Here it is: the trailer for Park Chan-wook’s English-language debut, Stoker. Rather than a vampire movie as some early reports suggested, Stoker looks like an unsettling family drama in the vein of Hitchcock. (Apparently the film was inspired by Shadow of a Doubt.) There’s an icy Nicole Kidman, a seething Mia Wasikowska, and a downright skeevy Matthew Goode as the man who comes between them.

Park won’t be returning to Korea any time soon it seems. (There, there, Alec.) He’s already lined up his next two films, and both are English-language productions. First is a western called The Brigands of Rattleborge, and then there’s a mob movie called Corsica 72.

Stoker opens March 1st, 2013.
