By I’m not usually really into horror movies, but something about Aleksander Nordaas’ thriller Thale is keeping me interested. I think it’s that it has a heavy employment of Nordic mythology with the style of a realistic, modern horror-movie. I can dig that. Though pretty much anything dealing with cool mythology, I can dig.
Thale is based on the Nordic creature called a Huldra, which appears as a young woman but has the tail of a cow and her back appears as a hollow tree. (Scary!) The movie has a February release date in Norway.
