Trailer: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1

I somehow missed that DC’s newest animated outing, an adaptation of Frank Miller’s classic The Dark Knight Returns was coming in two parts. Considering that means, assuming an average Blu-ray price is $25, the whole story has a $50 charge to it, that cuts down the possibility that I’ll buy this to pretty damn low. That’s a shame, because this first trailer for the film looks pretty damn good. Peter Weller’s proving a good fit for the elder Bruce Wayne/Batman, and it looks like they’re taking a much more stylish approach to Frank Miller, as opposed to Batman: Year One, which was just dreck.

I must say, though, I really, really, REALLY want to see the Batman/Superman brawl that comes at the end of this story.
