Act of Valor wound up being an interesting experiment, with some awesome set pieces marred by the inherent deficiencies of hiring actual Navy SEALS as your lead actors. They can be badass, but badass doesn’t necessarily mean “able to carry a movie.” Now, the Bandito Brothers have released this trailer for their next film, The Prototype. There’s some pretty cool special effects going into the titular prototype robot, and from the bits we see, it looks like the movie’s going to carry some plot elements from Flixist Favorite Robocop.
It’s a very slick trailer, so let’s hope the Bandito Brothers have learned from their mistakes in Act of Valor.
