The Queen of Versailles is a Sundance award winning documentary by Lauren Greenfield showing the outrageously extravagant life of one of the richest couples in America – Westgate Resorts CEO David Siegel and his wife Jackie Siegel.
This documentary looks both fascinating and infuriating, as the Siegels empire comes crashing down with the market in the past few years and the family is forced to do awful things like stop building their 90,000 sq ft home. Yeah, it’s totally a “riches to rags” story – amirite? Now please excuse me while I go back to eating peanut butter out of the jar because I can’t afford to buy groceries.
