By I don’t even know where to begin. Everything about this trailer is odious, and not just because it’s not funny, mind you. This just represents the worst of American filmmaking. It’s lazy and cheap. It’s strip-mining a beloved property, and for what? Kids today, if we’re lucky, barely know who the Smurfs are. That’s something that doesn’t show on Cartoon Network anymore. All they’re hoping for is that parents will take their kids to this because they remember the Smurfs.
We get this and Mars Needs Moms, and At The Mountains of Madness is dead in the water.
