By So they actually did it. Here I was hoping the film never actually got made, and the press we’ve done for it was a horrible dream. But it’s not. Some Hollywood jagoff thought it was a good idea to make a prequel to The Thing because money. But you gotta keep an open mind, so I watched the trailer, and what I saw was a generic-looking rehash of the story of the original film, but with the added caveat that it’s set in the Norwegian research base found at the beginning of the original film. Basically, take all the mystery and suspense of the first movie as the team searches through the Norwegian base and throw it out the window.
Everything about this movie is an awful f**king idea.
