“Snitches get stitches.” Everybody holds this statement to be true. Well… everybody except the people behind The Whistleblower. The film, which is based on the true story of Kathryn Bolkovac, is about a policewoman (played by Rachel Weisz) who uncovers the seedy underground of post-war Bosnia. Exactly how seedy or underground is the country? Apparently, seedy enough to involve human trafficking and child sex slaves that involve United States military contractors. All of this results in political intrigue and cover-ups.
And, as the old adage goes, probably a few stitches, too. The Whistleblower will be in theaters this August.
