By In This Must Be the Place, Sean Penn stars as a wealthy, jaded, and mumbly rock star who is way past his prime and has daddy issues to boot. The story of the movie centers around Penn’s character meeting his father for the first time in over 30 years and then trying to find the Nazi who tortured his father at Auschwitz.
This Must Be the Place was screened at Cannes, but reviews for the movie were mixed. I don’t know, I kind of like the trailer, something about Sean Penn’s vulnerable, drag queen-esque character with larger than life hair has me rooting for this movie.
