Trailer: We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaks

In case some people have forgotten the whole WikiLeaks debacle from a few years ago, Focus World have released the first official trailer for their documentary along with a poster.

We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaks is the newest documentary from the Academy Award winning director, Alex Gibney (Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room, Casino Jack, Taxi to the Dark). It tells the story of the website WikiLeaks, ran by Julian Assange, and goes in-depth about what happened before and during the WikiLeaks event that happened.

It looks rather interesting and it was received pretty well at the Sundance Film Festival. Without seeing it of course, it is hard to tell what side of the fence the documentary sits on. According to the executive producer, Jemima Khan, the film was “denounced before seeing” by Julian Assange (link).

The documentary is set for limited release starting on May 24^th.
