Womb follows the story of childhood sweethearts Tom (Matt Smith) and Rebecca (Eva Green) who have a perfectly ordinary relationship with nothing odd whatsoever. Just kidding! After Tom dies, Rebecca decides to impregnate herself with his clone, raise the kid, and then try to bang it once it grows up. Nothing odd at all here.
I guess there’s the sweet aspect of doing whatever it takes to get your loved one back, and one would think that the maternal love and instinct would trump any previous sexual inclination. Unfortunately, that is not the case here, and it just looks like this woman is entertaining sexual thoughts about her the miniature Time Lord she popped out. This does look like an interesting subject, if a very uncomfortable one. Bonus points if you take someone to see this on a first date.
