Although these are essentially extended versions of scenes you could find in the trailer, they do last long enough to give a little of the creepy vibe that is going to flow through Frankenweenie. Most notably, the score samples in the two clips seem to suggest a slightly nuanced way of building a atmosphere without trying too hard. Anyhoo, the above clip is a conversation between Victor and Edgar (or Igor presumably) when Edgar finds out about “Sparky,” Victor’s reanimated pet. And the below clip is Victor reanimated his dead pet for the first time. Although I’m not a fan of the bug eyes, the whole thing looks charming enough for me to see it. Frankenweenie is in theaters October 5th.
