I have no idea why Transcendence (starring Johnny Depp and Morgan Freeman) hasn’t been on my radar until now. The film sounds perfect for me. It’s a science fiction thriller in which Dr. Caster (Johnny Depp) attempts to build a super intelligent computer that holds all knowledge and human emotion available. When he’s threatened by an anti-tech group, he decides to experiment with the technology and merge the super intelligence with himself, turning into one of those brains from Futurama that want to learn as much as possible.
Here we have two teaser trailers for the film that don’t show any footage of the film itself, but instead provide two interesting monologues about technology. We’ll see if Transcendence can live up to this when we get our first full trailer or when it hits theaters April 17th next year.
