By Did you watch the first Wanted and afterwards think, “Man, I could really go for some more of that”? I certainly have good news for you! The sequel is still chugging along with a screenplay going into second draft stages (and that it still exists). Derek Haas, co-writer of the original, goes into the plot of the sequel:
The only thing I can tell you is that Wesley is now, four years later, recruiting a young woman who is in his situation in the first movie. She’s got a sh**ty life. He’s sort of in the Fox role. This new girl is brought into the world.
Speaking of Fox, Angelina Jolie’s part, she’s totes not coming back. I mean, if you saw the original…then you’d know why. Maybe you were holding some sort of hope…but yeah. Look for more news in the next year or so.
