Watch a six minute clip of Joe Wright’s Anna Karenina

Anna Karenina is one of several historical fiction movies coming out in late 2012, (The Great Gatsby, Les Misérables) and like its genre cohorts, it looks surprisingly interesting. Keira Knightley stars as 19th century Russian aristocrat Anna Karenina (with a British accent because shut up) who falls into a tumultuous relationship with one Count Vronsky, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

The beginning of this six minute clip features an introductory voiceover by director Joe Wright, where he explains some interesting behind-the-scenes stuff about the production of the movie, like how the entire thing was filmed within one small, dilapidated theater. Anna Karenina opens in theaters November 9th, 2012.
