By Regardless of what you think of The Walking Dead, it’s become this juggernaut of a thing. I’m not into much anything going on, yet I still park my butt every Sunday and watch it with everyone else. It’s the closest we’ll ever get to event programming in the current age, and it’s always fun to watch it with everyone else. AMC is hoping its prequel series, Fear the Walking Dead will catch the same fire.
Set in LA, Fear the Walking Dead will follow already more interesting people (a drug addict, some minorities) at the start of the zombie apocalypse rather than the already in progress one in the main series. The six episode first season will run until The Walking Dead premieres its sixth season and starts with a 90 minute premiere. The first three minutes here do enough to get me interested again. Even if I don’t like this dude’s terrible, terrible shirt.
Fear the Walking Dead premieres this Sunday at 9/8c on AMC.
