Watch the Oscars with us in a Google Hangout

0

Update: And we’re live! All dressed up and ready for the Oscars! You can watch the Hangout right here and talk with us in the comments. If you want to join the hangout just let us know and we can invite you.

You know what’s so 2012? Liveblogging. All that typing and spelling. It’s just too much thinking. That’s why this year instead of liveblogging the Oscars we’re going to watch them with you in a Google Hangout. Come this Sunday as the red carpet festivities start we’ll post up the public link to the Hangout and you can come watch the Oscars with us.

We’ll make jokes, laugh and give truly thoughtful commentary on important subjects like Anne Hathaway’ in ability to appear genuine or how we all knew that Daniel-Day Lewis was going to drink all the milkshakes. If you’ve never been in a Google Hangout you can learn about them here. Basically it’ll be like watching the Oscars with your best friends, except we’re even better than your best friends because we have super powers.

So join us! Keep your eyes on this post come Oscar time Sunday for the link.
