Watch Tom Hardy and his dog Woody read an adorable bedtime story

Tom Hardy tends to be the best thing or secret-best thing in any movie he appears in. He’s an exceptional actor who disappears into roles, often stealing the show through voice and mannerism. (For examples, see Bronson, The Dark Knight Rises, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Revenant, and the otherwise forgettable Lawless. Actually, maybe don’t see Lawless.)

A few nights ago on the children’s show CBeebies, Tom Hardy and his dog Woody stole the internet’s heart. Or something.

Before turning in tonight, here’s video of Hardy and his dog reading You Must Bring a Hat by Simon Philip and Kate Hindley. It’s the charming bedtime story born in the darkness, molded in it.
