Weekend Watchlist: Harmless comedy

Movies!

Since I didn’t get the opportunity to see anything at all this weekend, I’ll have to talk about what I wished I had seen. I’d say The Hangover Part II, but I’m really glad I missed out on that particular mess. I enjoyed the first one, and I’m pretty content with ending my relationship with the series there.

I’d say Kung Fu Panda 2, but I never did get around to seeing the first one. That was out. I’d say Pirates, but…no.

Hmm, you know? I guess I’m good. Carry on, everyone. Let me know what you saw, and try to make me jealous.

Two completely harmless family comedy sequels, Kung Fu Panda 2 and The Hangover Part 2, are coming out today, sure to draw in viewers of all ages. Which will your family choose? Will you elect to see the former, starring the voice of always-family-friendly Jack Black, or the latter, which stars such role models as Bradley Cooper and Zach Galifianakis?

If you’re instead more interested in a film that you know absolutely nothing about, you might be lucky enough to find a screening of Tree of Life, which is probably going to be awesome or absolutely terrible based on whose early reports you believe.

Of course, Pirates is still hanging around (and probably will be for another few weeks or months or something). Any of these tickling your fancy this weekend? Let us know!
