I hope I’m not the only person left holding a candlelight vigil every night until Zoolander 2 becomes a thing. News of the struggling production for the sequel a few of us want has been floating around for years. All we’ve been getting is tidbits from different actors saying that there’s a script and someone wants it to happen. So naturally, our latest bit is from another actor.
While talking to JoBlo, Will Ferrell had this to say about the project:
We are actually supposed to do a read-through of a sequel script soon, and Mugatu is a part of it.
Hey, maybe there’s some traction after all! Look I don’t care how bad it’s going to be. I just want it to happen. I quote the original so much (“For serious” is in my daily vocabulary), and I’d just love for some new bits. Sure ten year sequels to comedies don’t always work out, but it’d good to see the gang again.
