We may not have covered this when first announced, but Sony is producing a Men in Black 4 because money. It’s going to be written by Oren Uziel and would have presumably starred Will Smith since he’s agreed to three of them already. But we probably shouldn’t count on him returning since he’s made wise choices in the past. Speaking with Collider (notably before After Earf released and failed to impress), Smith explained what he thought of donning the black suit again:
I think three is enough for me. Three of anything is enough for me. We’ll look at it and we’ll consider it, but it feels like that it might be time to let someone else do that.
When your star is complaining about the number of sequels, perhaps it’s time to stop making them. Although I’d love a new movie set in the MIB universe, I don’t want a fourthquel if they’re just going to retread old ground. You know what? Just bring that awesome cartoon back.[via Collider]
