Witness the trailer and poster for Mad Shelia, a Chinese Mad Max rip-off

Mad Max: Fury Road is one of the best action movies of the 21st century, and was one of the best movies of 2015 by far. We were bound to see some movies trying to capitalize on the look, feel, and stuntwork of George Miller’s manic feminist masterpiece.

Enter Mad Shelia.

Mad Shelia is a cheap, chrome-plated Chinese rip-off of Mad Max. It looks mediocre. In fact, it looks worse than mediocre. Check out the trailer below.

They say imitation is the highest form of flattery. Imitation is also the most blatant form of trying to get money for someone else’s work.

While George Miller is still figuring out what the Fury Road follow-up will be, there are already two Mad Shelia movies in the works–Mad Shelia: Virgin Road and Mad Shelia: Vengeance Road.

If they make another Mad Shelia movie after that, I hope it’s called Mad Shelia: Angry Street.

Check out the poster for Mad Shelia below (also a Fury Road knock-off) as well as an official music video. This schlock is currently streaming in China, though watching the music video seems pretty much like watching the entire movie.
