World War Z The Second gets a director

Award-winning Spanish director Juan Antonio Bayona has been confirmed as the director for the upcoming World War Z sequel, says Hollywood Reporter. No date has been announced for the still-untitled follow up, and the search for writers is ongoing. Brad Pitt has been confirmed to return as a producer, but it is currently unknown if he will reprise his role from the first film.

Bayona previously directed 2012’s The Impossible, which I never saw. Apparently it was good! World War Z was okay! I’ll probably end up seeing World War Z-2, especially with a critically acclaimed director at the helm. What do you think, does this pairing make you want to see World War Z The Second?
