Zachary Levi wants a Chuck movie to happen now

Even though it wasn’t good enough for our own list of TV shows that should get Kickstarted (yeah that’s right, I went there!), Chuck had a decent following (it was a show about an average guy who downloaded a supercomputer into his brain and became a spy). It’s a series saved many times through fandom and Subway. And although it’s series finale provided just the right amount of open ended closure, given the recent success of Veronica Mars on the Kickstarter machine, we might see more of Chuck soon as a feature film.

Talking to Entertainment Weekly recently, Zachary Levi shared his sentiment toward getting a Chuck movie off the ground:

All I can say at this point is that because Veronica Mars, like Chuck, is a Warner Bros. [production], and because Warner Bros. has now opened that gate, I feel confident in being able to get the same results for a Chuck movie…If Warner Bros. is game, I’ve got great ideas for what the movie would be that I’m very excited about…If you build it, they will come. You’ve got to believe that if you have something good, people will believe in it.

In case you were wondering that Zachary Levi was alone on this (thus probably releasing a shoddy version of Chuck), Levi “knows [he’s] got the cast and crew on board.” So while I wouldn’t watch a Chuck film, but I would happily take more Jeffster performances, what about all of you? Or would you help fund it if asked?
