Chronicling the star’s meteoric rise atop the record charts and social media stardom, Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry is the new documentary set to premiere on Apple TV+ early next year.

The film, released by NEON, looks to give a behind-the-scenes look at Eilish’s life dealing with the duality of being a multi-Grammy winner and Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper, while also… learning to drive. The documentary, directed by RJ Cutler, follows Eilish’s touring and studio work around the time of the recording of her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

Eilish’s record won Album of the Year, Best Engineered Album of the Year, Non-Classical, and Best Pop Vocal Album of the Year at the 2020 Grammy Awards. The song “Bad Guy” took Best Record of the Year, as well as Song of the Year. Ain’t no slouch. Since the Grammys, Eilish has remained prolific, recording the theme for the still-pending James Bond film No Time to Die.

The documentary’s setting during Eilish’s process on When We All Fall Asleep should give a clearer picture of life before her historic Grammy wins. Whether or not you’re a fan of her work, a Billie Eilish documentary feels warranted, given her incredible success and acclaim at such a young age. If nothing else, the new trailer doesn’t use “Bad Guy,” so that’s a breath of fresh air; surely even she’s tired of hearing it over every new film trailer.

The World’s A Little Blurry is set to premiere in theaters and on Apple TV+ February 26, 2021.
