Beetlejuice 2 writer updates us on sequel

In an interview with ShockTillYouDrop, author Seth Graham-Smith, writer of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and the controversial new Beetlejuice sequel, gives us an update on the ghost with the most. Apparently things are moving along swimmingly. He even met with Michael Keaton last week. “I met with Michael Keaton last week,” See? “We talked for a couple of hours and talked about big picture stuff. It’s a priority for Warner Bros. It’s a priority for Tim,” said Graham-Smith.

When asked to gauge Michael Keaton’s excitement level in the whole project, he said “[Michael]’s been wanting to do it for 20 years and he’ll talk to anybody about it who will listen.  I really told him, I have a huge reverence for Tim and a huge reverence for that film in general.  I don’t think we should do it if we sh*t on the legacy.  He agrees.  So, right now, it remains to be seen, I have a couple of story ideas, but we’re very early out.”

That sounds to me like they’re taking this whole sequel business seriously. So maybe you guys should stop poopin’ and listen to what this young man has to say. Honestly, I think considering the amount of care they seem to be taking and the passion of all parties involved in the development of this film, I really doubt we’re getting a flop out of this. I’m actually pretty excited, considering they’re already following my How To Do It: A Beetlejuice Sequel to a tee right now by casting Michael Keaton. As a great man once said, “hope is a good thing, and no good thing ever dies.”
