Casino Royale voted best Bond movie by fans

Have you noticed it’s Bond Month here at Flixist? If you haven’t, you need to check in with our Across The Bond feature pronto, unless you want to miss some shamelessly nerdy reflections on the series by Matt Razak and myself. We’re already up to On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, and there’ll be more features and articles on the way as my Skyfall review at the end of the month draws nearer.

In the meantime, Bond fansite MI6-HQ has published the results of a poll it conducted last year to find the most (and least) popular Bond movie. With over fifteen thousand votes cast, Daniel Craig’s debut Casino Royale emerged as a surprise victor, knocking Goldfinger and From Russia With Love into second and third respectively. On Her Majesty’s Secret Service came in fourth, while Pierce Brosnan’s GoldenEye forgot to knock before coming in fifth. Poor old Moonraker languished at the bottom of the list, tying with A View To A Kill to appear in a 5% of fans’ ‘most favoured’ lists. You can see the full list at the link, but be sure to stick around Flixist for the best Skyfall build-up on these here interwebs. DA DUM DA DUM!
