Kevin Feige confirms Charlie Cox as the MCU’s Daredevil

0

In a rare moment of clarity from Marvel President Kevin Feige, the bigwig in charge of the MCU confirmed to CinemaBlend that Charlie Cox will return as Daredevil at some point in the future. When questioned how he felt about Cox playing the role, Feige responded with, “If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil. Where we see that, how we see that, when we see that, remains to be seen.”

The timing of this interview couldn’t be more exciting. With Spider-Man: No Way Home releasing next week, we could see this as confirmation that Cox will have a guest appearance in the movie. Peter Parker is seen with a lawyer during one of the scenes, though the man’s face is obscured for the trailer. It’s not out of the realm of possibility to suggest Matt Murdoch is that man.

Even if that doesn’t end up being the case (though, c’mon!), it’s great that Marvel isn’t turning away the actors from its Netflix shows. Even if those series are non-canon now, fans grew to love the actors portraying these characters and have been calling for their return in the MCU ever since their cancelation. Maybe the Daredevil show wasn’t always amazing -Season Two, in fact, sucks-, but Cox was perfect in the role.

Now just bring back Jessica Jones and The Punisher and I’ll bet set.
