F**K YEAH WILL SMITH AGREES WITH ME

A few weeks after Django Unchained released, I wrote an analysis piece explaining why Django wasn’t the hero of DU as the greater thematic resonance of the film focused on Dr. King Schultz. In speaking with EW recently, Will Smith explained why he turned down the Django role:

Django wasn’t the lead, so it was like, I need to be the lead. The other character was the lead!…I was like, ‘No, Quentin, please, I need to kill the bad guy!’

So there you go, everyone. I was right, and now I have the Fresh Prince to back it up. F**K YEAH.
