Jamie Dornan won’t go the full monty for Fifty Shades of Grey

Although I may not be one of the many folks eagerly anticipating Fifty Shades of Grey, the first trailer for the adaptation drew quite a bit of attention. Whether or not I agree with its use of Sado Masochism, I kind of have to admit I was a little surprised by my curiosity. I’m not sure the guy who cut the trailer realized it wasn’t a horror film, but that haunting “Crazy in Love” rendition got me. I figured we were getting some sexy horror thing, but that’s not the case.

In an interview with The Guardian, Jamie Dornan disappointed legions of fans by saying he won’t be showing off fifty shades of his kibbles n’ bits:

You want to appeal to as wide an audience as possible without grossing them out. You don’t want to make something gratuitous, and ugly, and graphic…[Director Sam Taylor-Johnson] is a very bright woman, so there might be some suggestive elements to it, but I haven’t seen it at this stage, so it is hard for me to say…There were contracts in place that said that viewers wouldn’t be seeing my, um…Yeah, my todger.

Sorry, everybody. I guess we just have to go back to imagining his hornswaggle for ourselves. Is this a big deal for everyone? I haven’t read the books, so I have no idea how graphic the pornography gets. Someone fill me i- poor choice of words.
