Keanu Reeves to star in 3D samurai film, 47 Ronin

I think the only article we’ve seen about Keanu Reeves on Flixist so far has been the Community Blog Why Keanu Reeves Sucks. So what has he been up to lately?

Aside from starring in two films (The Private Lives of Pippa Lee and Henry’s Crime) in the past two years that completely slipped my radar, about a month ago it was also quietly announced that he’d be starring in a samurai movie with Carl Rinsch making his directorial debut after getting the boot from the Alien prequel project, Paradise.

Not exactly a vote of confidence for 47 Ronin, and the new information that it’ll also be a 3D film doesn’t boost our hopes much for the project either. Although, to be fair, I doubt it will be worse than The Warrior’s Way. Looks like Keanu won’t be the only one with something to prove when this film tries to squeeze in an overseas release before the end of next year.
