MTV Movie Awards nominees announced

Awards season is long over and all the best films have walked away with their prestigious awards. But what about all the not-best films that people teenage girls liked? When do they get the credit they don’t deserve? Who is willing to sink to the lower levels and give awards for important things like ‘Best Kiss.’ Why, if it isn’t MTV to the rescue with this year’s 2011 nominations for the MTV Movie Awards.

Where else could the likes of Twilight mingle with Black Swan in a best picture category? What other award show would put Jennifer Anniston in Just Go With It into the ‘Best Actress’ category? When else would you seriously be worried that a fight scene from Twilight: Eclipse could ever beat out the rotating hallway fight in Inception for ‘Best Fight’? Where else (other than the even lower than low People’s Choice Awards) could Grown Ups be nominated for anything? And really, when else would you ever get to see Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson duke it out for best actor in the same movie?

Ahh, the will of the people teenage girls is strong and they have created their nominee list and now they shall create their winners and we shall cringe in horror as Twilight: Eclipse wins every category — even the ones it wasn’t nominated for.

The full list of nominees is after the break and if you think you want to attempt to make good movies and actors win you can vote over on MTV.com.
