Netflix Now: Anyone else watching American Idol? Edition

I’ve really been digging this season of American Idol. Despite the ridiculous amount of cuts to Jennifer Lopez during the performances, most of the contestants this year have been great. And the new judging panel isn’t too bad either. Harry Connick Jr. can be a bit too much at times, but hey it works. My favorites have been Alex Preston, Jena Irene, and Caleb Johnson. But sadly the one contestant I absolutely loved, Tiquila, didn’t even make the final cuts. Now we’re left with some duds.

At least there’s Netflix Instant. And there’s plenty to be had with Short Term 12 (one of my Top 15 films of 2013), G.I. Joe Retaliation, Insidiou2, Iron Sky, Rapture-Palooza, and Tyler Perry Presents Tyler Perry’s Peeples: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor.

Hit the jump for this week’s Netflix Instant additions along with a few choice AI performances.

New additions to Netflix Watch Instantly apply only to readers in the United States. For those in other parts of the world, your choices may vary.
