Netflix Now: Austin 3:16 Edition

I sort of miss Austin, Texas right now, not just because of the warm weather, but because I wish I had more time to actually wander around town without the hordes from SXSW. I mean, I didn’t even get to watch all the bats come out at night, or convince them to do my bidding. The South By hordes were fun too, don’t get me wrong, like the two-block-long hipster and candy raver dance party/parade that went up Congress Avenue and wound up on the State Capitol lawn.

Anyway, this week’s new stuff on Netflix Instant includes two films that weren’t well reviewed, but I’m going to check out anyway (that’s what Watch Instantly is for.) First off there’s David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis, which almost everyone I know didn’t like, except for one friend who said he liked it, but it’s not really a movie. Then there’s 100 Years of Evil, a mockumentary about Hitler surviving WWII, which wins a watch from me on concept alone even the execution is poor.

As for the rest of the stuff on Netflix Instant, it includes lesbians (The L Word), Scotsmen (Craig Ferguson: I’m Here to Help), Tim Tebow, and at least 10 Stone Cold Stunners (WWE: The Top 100 Moments in Raw History).

After the cut, all the new stuff on Netflix Instant, as well as readings from Austin 3:16, the Book of Steve “The Six Million Dollar Man” Austin, and Jane Austen.
