By While there aren’t as many new things on Netflix Instant this week as there were last week, there’s some good stuff to check out. The biggest additions are Martin Scorsese’s Hugo, Tom Hooper’s The King’s Speech, and Sarah Polley’s Take This Waltz. And while Alec didn’t care much for Sacrifice, I’m willing to give something by Chen Kaige a shot.
For all you Team Edward types, the critically maligned Bel Ami with Robert Pattinson is waiting for you with shimmering quartz-like skin and comely eyes. Team Jacob, you’ll have to settle for Strippers vs. Werewolves. Do not fret — it’s probably just as good as Bel Ami.
Also new: boxer’s from China (Queensbury rules, not Shaolin or that mysterious chess stuff), Ice-T’s directorial debut, prehistoric sharks who can swim through sand (!), and much more. Okay, not that much more, but still. And hell, The Northerners sounds cool to me.
