By Comic Con kicks off tomorrow, meaning smelly, crowded, uncomfortable congestion in San Diego, America’s Finest City. I lived in San Diego for a couple years before moving to New York, and let me tell you: Comic Con got really crowded really fast. I remember going to Comic Con in 2002 and it was good-sized but not overwhelming. It just got bigger and bigger from there. The last time I went was 2007, and it was unbearable. Can’t imagine what it’ll be like this year.
If you’re not going to the Con this year, at least there’s Netflix Instant to keep you company. You can watch The Intouchables or the Netflix original series Orange is the New Black. Or, you can watch For Richer or Poorer, a movie that was made to be seen on a depressing, hungover Sunday afternoon on TBS in the early 2000s.
If you are going to Comic Con, stay safe and have fun! Also, please eat a California burrito with guacamole for me. (A California burrito is a carne asada burrito with French fries in it. It is like manna from Baja.)
