Netflix Now: Zombies Zombies Zombies Edition

“What’s that?” says Mr. Netflix, a pudgy man with a greasy face. “You’re complaining every week about barely any new films being added to Watch Instantly? Well fine, see how you deal with over 200 new releases!”

“That’s all well and good, Mr. Netflix,” says your humble, yet dashing editor, “but are any of them good?”

A sheepish expression comes across the executive’s face. “Well…maybe a few?” he mumbles, wringing his hands.

I stand, putting on my coat and hat. I’ve heard enough. “Once again, Mr. Netflix, you disappoint me. I don’t know why Mrs. Netflix hasn’t left your sorry ass yet. Good day!” I slam the door and vow never to return again, knowing deep down that I’ll be seeing him again soon enough.

This week you have a bunch of zombie films, ranging from the less obvious Awaken the Dead to the hilarious sounding Mutant Vampire Zombies from the ‘Hood! to movies where they gave up on the name and called it something like Aaah! Zombies!! or Zombies Zombies Zombies. The made-for-TV RoboCop tetralogy is also available, along with way too many Graffiti Verite films. Really, good luck finding something worthwhile to watch in here, I can’t recommend much. It’s like floating on a sea of films but there’s nothing to sustain you.
