New Hobbit images arrive for Tolkien Week

0

This Friday will mark the 75th anniversary of the publication of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit. This entire week has actually be christened Tolkien Week to commemorate the occasion. September 22nd is also Hobbit Day, which celebrates the birthdays of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins. I’ve included the Leonard Nimoy jam above to get you in the spirit of these festivities. It’s the new hotness.

USA Today kicked off the week with eight new images from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, which comes out December 14th. You’ll be able to see The Hobbit in 48fps at no extra charge, just like Tolkien intended.

Take a look at the new Hobbit images in the gallery. A new trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be released tomorrow. Expect additional content from Peter Jackson and company as Tolkien Week continues.
