New musical comedy Bo Burnham: Inside to hit Netflix

0

Bo Burnham’s returning to Netflix with his latest comedy musical offering, and boy are we ready for this. After a hiatus and time on a little film called Promising Young Woman, the multi-hyphenate comedian-filmmaker is back to Netflix in a new teaser for his latest show, Bo Burnham: Inside

Burnham shared a teaser on his Instagram with the caption:

hi. i made a new special. it was filmed by me, alone, without a crew or an audience, over the course of the past year. it is almost finished. i hope you like it.”

From the sparse information we have so far,  the special is set to shape up as another musical comedy in the vein of 2013’s what. and 2016’s Make Happy. The title plays on the fact that he’s self-created this during the course of the pandemic this past year. Leading on directly from where we left off in Make Happy, the short teaser shows Burnham finishing his piano rendition of Are You Happy?, before exiting via a door. The longer version of this segment from the recent show led on to the star enjoying his garden with his partner (HustlersLorene Scafaria) and dog — this time, we cut straight to an almost unrecognisable, bearded Bo, with a knowing grin on his face.

If there’s one thing that will rectify some of the great horrors we’ve endured this year, it’s Bo Burnham: Inside. I can absolutely guarantee it will make this world a better place. We don’t yet have an exact date, but Inside will be hitting Netflix very soon, and we’ll be waiting.
