By While Warner Bros execs may be nervous about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, I’m actually getting more and more excited to see the film. Given, I’ve been a naysayer about the grim and gritty approach that DC Comics is taking with their superhero movies (e.g., the brooding, joyless Superman in Man of Steel), but maybe, just maybe, Dawn of Justice will at least be watchable garbage.
As we approach the March 25th release date, a number of new images have appeared via the latest Entertainment Weekly, including a very tender image of Batman and Superman about to kiss in the rain. It’s no doubt an homage to the iconic upside down kiss scene from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man. And you know Superman’s been practicing at the Fortress of Solitude with his life-sized $8,000 Batman statue.
Other images in the new batch (which do not involve The Man of Tomorrow sloppily snogging with The Caped Crusader) include Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor looking at some shiny green rock that’s clearly not important.
