For die-hard Pokemon fans that grew up with the television series and the movies, Netflix is finally giving us a first glimpse at a childhood favorite. That’s right, Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back-Evolution is heading to the streaming platform late next month. It has been fully revamped from what we all knew and love into a much more realistic CGI look. To kick off the hype Netflix released the full trailer for it finally.

So just what are we in for? Netflix has provided a helpful synopsis for those who haven’t seen the film in years or are new Pokemon fans.

When researchers discover and exploit a fossil of the Mythical Pokémon Mew, they unleash a creation that goes against the very laws of nature.

The Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo was intended for use as a tool of destruction. But as Mewtwo becomes aware of its own dubious origin, it begins to resent its human creators and seeks revenge…

It’s happening, Trainers. Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution arrives, Pokémon Day, February 27, 2020, only on Netflix.

I am super pumped for the new look, but I do wish the original voice actors had reprised their roles. Hopefully, this new voice cast can give these classic characters the respect they deserve. Mewtwo does sound awesome though!
