Obi-Wan Kenobi Series Returns From Being Struck Down

0

The Obi-Wan Kenobi series was one of those shows that was surprisingly full steam ahead. You could never quite believe it was actually happening, Ewan McGregor returning to the role of a beloved character that wasn’t screwed up yet by Disney? Yea, too good to be true. Then it all came to a crashing halt when Hossein Amini was removed from the project because of disagreements with our great lord and savior, Disney.

The show went on hiatus and production got delayed to January. However, things are back on track now. Joby Harold has been tapped to write the series. He’s mostly a producer, having worked on a few shows but he seems to be gaining some steam as a writer having penned the underrated King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and co-writing an upcoming Transformers film. It could be worse. It could be Lucas or even… dare I say it… J.J. Abrams. At least this guy is something new.

McGregor went on the record saying that the plot and story were great so maybe Harold is just being brought in to punch it up a bit. Whatever, the case we’ll be able to see McGregor bartering for droid parts sometime next year.
