Peer into the gooey slime hole in Sea Fever trailer

Being trapped on a ship when horror stuff happens has to suck. Whether you’re facing sharks, sea ghosts, a murderous crew, or a genetically modified killer cat monster, you got nowhere to run and few places to hide. A storm may hit and drag you into the deep where a rescue party may never find you again, leaving your disappearance as yet another mystery of the great blue. It’s a scary situation. What’s also scary are gooey holes and body-infesting parasites like those in our trailer for Sea Fever.

Siobhan is a marine biology student spending a week on a ragged fishing trawler and struggling to get along with the crew. She studies their catches and soon comes in contact with what I’m sure will make a great doctorate thesis, if she lives to write about it. An unfathomable life form ensnares the boat and infects the crew, and Siobhan must win the crew’s trust if any of them hope to survive.

As a whole, the trailer looks tense and claustrophobic, and I’m looking forward to checking out more of Sea Fever when it infects theaters and VOD on April 10, 2020.
