Punisher’s second season looks as bloody as ever

The Punisher’s second season is right around the corner, so it’s high time we got to see a sneak peek of it. Netflix has uploaded the trailer for Frank’s return and it looks as bloody as you’d expect. People get shot, bullets fly and there’s a remix of another classic metal song. I almost like these trailers more than the actual shows.

Season two will see the return of Billy Russo as he begins to transform into Jigsaw. It also seems like Frank can’t quite keep his bloodlust in check when another young lady gets herself into some trouble. I guess letting go is just something Frank’s not good at.

My only hope for this second season would be that the pacing gets dramatically improved. While I found myself rather enjoying the dynamic between Frank and Micro in the first season, there were far too many side plots that went nowhere and felt like filler. How is a show about a man taking justice into his own hands not just a constant bloodbath? I don’t need to see redundant character arcs about why Frank kills when we could be seeing him chase down villains.
